Taner Oktar was born in Izmir, Turkey. He moved around in different cities in Turkey before he moved to the capital city, Ankara, for his undergrad study in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering in the Middle East Technical University. Upon completing his undergrad studies, he decided to continue his graduate education in the same university. A series of opportunities that he couldn't have said no led him to make some decisions to complete his grad studies in Northeastern University's Electrical and Computer Engineering Department in Boston, thus he moved to the United States in the year of 1998. In the year of 2000, he started working in the tech industry. He completed another grad study in Management and Information Systems while he was working to empower himself in the tech field more. 2010 was another milestone for him, so he took an opportunity in New York City. He had a few home purchasing/selling transactions and discovered that he is really passionate about real estate field. He always had ideas about homes, how he can improve them if he owned them and provided a lot of personal insights/recommendations to help his friends in home buying process unofficially with the knowledge he retained over the course of the time. Finally he decided to step into the field professionally having discovered Western Catskills more intimately since 2019.
